Penglipuran Festival is Targeted to Attract Tourists Interests
The Bangli Penglipuran Festival (Penglipuran Village Festival / PVF) takes place every early December in Penglipuran Village, Bangli, Bali. The festival is expected to be a promotional tool to attract foreign tourists (tourists) and Nusantara tourists.
Prof. Dr. I Gde Pitana, MSc, compilation of PVF 2019 flights in Penglipuran Tourism Village, Bangli District, Bangli Regency, Bali, Monday (9/12), said that the PVF 2019 was an effort to find a way to improve the quality of Penglipuran tourism villages and other villages in the region Bangli
"PVF is organized by the community together with the Bangli Regency Government and the manager of Penglipuran Tourism Village and has been approved for the 7th year," Pitana said.
This is also one of the Bali Recovery Programs supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf). "In the Bali Recovery Program, Kemenparekraf in addition to providing support to the PVF event also at the Kintamani Festival in an effort to improve the quality and image of tourism in Bangli Regency in an effort to increase tourist visits," he said.
I Gde Pitana said that the PVF that had been going on routinely was a real commitment to the tourist attraction in Penglipuran Village. That is to always preserve the arts and culture of Bali and at the same time start to prosper the local community.
He explained that the festival must be interpreted as one form of investment to introduce destinations to the international world. However, this festival will be known and become a destination brand that is carried out and confirmed for sure.
"The experience of showing a festival must be sure of the place, time and various agendas before H. Weakness so far has been lack of promotion and the exact date of the implementation of the festivals that we do so much in Bali or throughout Indonesia," said I Gde Pitana.

Penglipuran Village, one of the cleanest villages in the world, is located in Bangli Regency, Bali Province.
Organizing the festival, said Pitana, must have a vision that in the end is for the welfare of the community. Therefore, a festival full of high creativity and cultural values must be able to support the economic value of the community.
This welfare is not only temporary, it needs to be maintained so that the festival can be something of economic value as capital.
"In the end, this capital must be able to move the prosperity of the local community or in other words, a festival must be able to transform from C-1, namely creativity to C-2 commercialization or further economic value to C-3, namely commoditization and C-4, namely capitalization and ending. C-5 is community development, "said Pitana.
Penglipuran Village is known as the first example of a tourist village in Indonesia. The village was awarded the Kalpataru award.
In 2016 Penglipuran was chosen as the 3rd cleanest village in the world according to the international magazine Boombastic and in 2017 was awarded the 2017 ISTA (Indonesia Tourism Tourism Award) with the best ranking in the category of cultural preservation.
The latest awards, Penglipuran and Pemuteran included in the Green Destinations Foundation's Top 100 Sustainable Destinations.
PVF is held at the end of each year coupled with the welcoming of the new year. The series of PVF 2019 activities included an opening featuring the Bali Tempo Traditional Clothing Parade, Barong Ngelawang, and other Cultural Arts Parades, and various competitions.
The implementation of PVF has been proven to be able to increase tourist visits to Penglipuran Tourism Village in 2018 by 10,500 tourists. Whereas in 2019 participants will be visited by 13,500 tourists consisting of 2,700 tourists and 10,800 tourists in the country.
