Bali to Provide Insurance Policy for Tourists
Bali Provincial Government will provide any sort of insurance policy for foreign tourists coming to the island so that they are immediately insured when they get ill, have accident and died.
“The regulation is still being discussed and already entered the final stage. We hope to finish it by this year,” said Bali Governor I Made Mangku Pastika, in Denpasar on Friday.
He stated that to get the insurance cover, foreign tourists need to pay in particular amount when entering the Island through ports and airports. The payment included tourists’ contributions for the protection of cultural heritage and environment of Bali.
“It means that the money does not fully get into the government. Half will be used for the tourists if they suffer any accident, illness, or death happened,” he said.
Associated with the contribution of foreign tourists to the protection of cultural heritage, the former Bali police chief said such a thing actually is already conducted in other countries.
He will not create a new agency after the contribution to the protection of cultural heritage, but will empower the customary village and Hindu Dharma Association.
